2 oz Bernheim Winter Wheat Whiskey
1 oz Vya Dry Vermouth
a dash of Mugolio.
Served on the rocks with an orange twist and cherries. |

When it comes to liquor I try not to choose favorites. They're like my non existent children, or maybe my cats. But, it being Cinco De Mayo, and have just recently tried this one, I feel like I need to brag about my new love.
Oro Azul Reposado Tequila.
The nose is all cotton candy and fresh agave and lemon. It's super smooth on the palate, almost like a rich custard, and it finishes with grapefruit and spice and toffee. I could sit down and drink half a bottle straight, easily.

I ate lots of Black Cake; drank small amounts Cashew Wine; and saw wreckage from one(or more) of the four planes that had crashed in the last year, trying to land at Kaieteur Falls. |
